Our Second Prospect
Kris went to check out the Avalon Watch apartments the other day, which had seemed really nice online. We were both kinda banking on those to be the ones we would eventually get, but alas. They are not so hot, as she tells me.
First of all, the lady who showed her around was exceptionally rude. Not in the out-an-out "get off my property" kind of way, just a snob. The website said 3 pets were ok, but the lady told Kristin 2, tops. For $1600/mo., there was NOTHING extra included in the deal. It was the most basic, run-down 2 br they had, without any of the lovliness the site featured and said they offered. Plus, it was kind of like a ghetto.
So, no thanks to that.
Either way, we cut our losses and went back to the drawing board. We're currently checking out the Mews at Annandale, what looks to be a lovely townhouse setting with a lot of the things we both want. The area itself is really nice, too. We're also looking at the Heights at Lebanon, though truth be told, I hope Annandale pans out because I like it better lol I talked to a rep on the phone today and she verified that 3 pets were ok and that yes, the place is as nice as it seems. She e-mailed me the app and some various other paperwork and told me they have some opening up in October, which is perfect.
Going to check it out tomorrow, hope its everything it seems to be!
