Classes are over!! I had my last final (well, I guess technically it was my only "final", so I guess it was just a landmark) Tuesday night in French. I think it went pretty well, but I haven't gotten my grade back yet. I somehow pulled off an A in drama. I missed a lot of assignments so that was a bit of a shocker right there, but I attribute it to Oscar Wilde shining down on me from above. Or something.
All I have left is one semester- one class really, English II- until I graduate with an associates. My God, its taken forever, but the point is, it'll finally be done and thats what counts. I'm taking Inter French I next semester, too, for the hell of it. The fall '07 is gonna be what I'm looking forward to, though. I've been in touch with the guy (or girl.. i'm not sure... is philippe a guy's name?) who represents the international sommelier's guild in walnut hill college in philly- a culinary school. they offer wine classes, the first is a twelve week intensive intro and the next is double that as a more in depth look at the techniques, geographies, etc... after that i'll go for the sommelier diploma program, and god willing, the masters program which is ridiculously hard with a puncutation of a twelve and a half hour final exam. the classes are only offered on sundays, so i think i will continue taking french, and probably italian (at least at home) as its a fairly important one to know in that industry. i sooo hope a lot of travel is required for these classes :D
i dont know what to do about a 4 yr. degree though. im not sure if its necessary. my parents brought me up to be reaching for one, but i dont know if thats what i need. taylor made a good point the other day when he said that for some majors its necessary while for others it may not mean anything. im just a little nervous going without one, i guess. my parents are always talking about how they wish they had gotten theirs and i dont want to have the opprotunity and just throw it away and regret it later. i could probably continue classes after i get the diploma or masters... lord, ill be in school til im 50 hehe
