Back to the mundane

The parents were in town last week. It was a lot of fun to have them around; we did the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island trip, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, saw I heart Huckabees, ate at Frank, ate in Chinatown, ate in Little Italy and walked a ton. I also took them to Magnolia Bakery, which was a big hit, and showed them Farenheit 9/11 (which they bought) and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. They even bought be a cute paper lamp from a store off Bleecker and a cute little apron with a Fellini film print from Century 21. All in all, a good week.

Now I'm looking for a part time job, trying to budget a move to Brooklyn on a budget and writing. And oh yeah, I need to start a media company from scratch. Fun, fun.

My writing feels so uninspired. I keep wanting to jump to the organizational elements--budget, casting etc.--instead of just writing, which probably means I am meant to be a producer and not a writer. I can deal with that but I still need a script! :)
