Ways to get your "Veronica Mars" fix during the hiatus:
Watch:
- CW is going to be airing reruns of VM. The show is on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm on the CW.
- Rent Seasons 1 and 2 or buy them from Amazon.com Season 1 and Season 2 A fansite even donated 500 copies of the Season 1 DVDs to public libraries all across the country. Here is the list if you'd like to see if your public library has a copy. The first two seasons are really great and can give you all of the backstory you may have been confused about.
Visit:
- Mars Investigations--I cannot praise this site enough. Seriously, it has EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about VM. It has very detailed episode descriptions as well as lists of quotes and cultural references from each episode. It has fantastic character bios. They also keep track of the mysteries going on as well as maintain a very thorough timeline of events. If there's anything you want to know about VM, go to this website. It is so complete; it's almost a little scary
- The PCH--This site is like a gathering site for a bunch of other VM fan sites. The post when other VM fansites update, when a new podcast is posted, when a new preview is available, or when there's some sort of raffle of contest. You get the idea. Basically, it's a really great place to find out what's going on in VM fandom.
- Watch Veronica Mars--This is a site of very dedicated VM fans who organized to have a plane fly over CW headquarters to show their support for the show. They are also the ones who donated all of the DVDs to the libraries. This is a cool site if you want to see what other dedicated fans are doing to support the show. They just raffled off a script, signed by like, EVERYONE, so if you're interested in stuff like that, I'm sure they'll have more raffles in the future.
- Television Without Pity--TWoP has great VM recaps. They are super-detailed but filled with lots of sarcasm and snark, which makes them really fun to read. The forums are supposed to be pretty active, too. In addition, they have some interviews with people involved with the show.
- CW Network--The network site for VM has cast bios and brief episode descriptions. They also show scenes from upcoming episodes sometimes.
Listen:
- Official Podcast--iTunes has an official podcast for VM where there are interviews with producers and tours of the set. I've listened to a few. They're pretty good but short.
- Neptune Pirate Radio--This is an unofficial podcast that's also available on iTunes (as I suppose all podcasts are since they're an invention of Apple). It's put out by really dedicated fans of VM. They're each an hour long, I believe. I haven't listened to an myself, but you should check them out. They also maintain a website with transcripts of the shows.
