Somebody hold me.

I'm so glad to see you writing Sherlock Holmes again and this is beautiful and a little heartbreaking <3

Thank you! I'm not sure what made me want to torture Holmes, but sometimes the draw is inescapable.

Oh, I've missed your writing! That was a little bruising at the end, but such a sweet, Holmesian confession that it didn't hurt too badly.

::blushes:: - well, thank you! I'm glad it didn't hurt too much; I don't actually *intend* to torture anyone. It just slips out sometimes.

Aw ouchy is right. Nevertheless, any Holmes/Watson or Holmes/Trevor (or both!) from you is glorious, so the pain was numbed by squee :P I love the feeling of Holmes being really cheeky (or impish as Watson might say) in this, it does lovely squiggly things to my insides, it's rare in a fic for the feelings to be one sided but for them still to have that trust and chumminess. I love that your Holmes can confide his feelings in his Watson, even when he knows they're unreturned. It does them both justice as characters.

Sorry for the unconnected rambly-ness of my comment, it's 1am and I'm half asleep.

Unconnected rambliness is perfectly fine :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and very pleased that it comes across that even though it's one-sided in this particular instance, they can still be friends together.
