So I was just talking to my dad about the University of Chicago and he's like, "Well you know what the unofficial slogan for the university is, right?" And I'm like, "No poppa, I don't." He responded with, "The place where fun goes to die."

I've heard that said about a number of schools. And sure, that may be true for some of the students there. But come on: there are people like Theano going there, too. And Theano will not let her fun die. (Same goes for Rafa at Swarthmore.) You'll find people like yourself wherever you go.

indeed. i don't doubt i'd have fun if i applied, got accepted, and went. it was simply that the second my dad said it (and he did with a very serious expression) i errupted in laughter. gotta love pops.
