As we've heard from Cheney's mouth as well, republicans issue statements putting spin on the Lamont/Lieberman election, trying to sell the mentality that the Democratic party is being silly by "rocking the boat". He expresses his disappointment. yada yada yada. Of course they're condemning the results, it's against their favor for this anti-incumbent incident to be one of a trend.

It's a shame that the DLC seems to be betraying what are supposed to be their beliefs. As you were saying, leaning right isn't going to make them look any better. The game of American politics can be such an impediment to democracy. If we "rock the boat" hard enough, maybe we can clean it up, at least a bit.
