so i work at PRC now. i guess it's my karma for blantantly stating i would never work here. i'm in sales at hotels.com but i looks mad easy, without sounding like i'm on a high horse. my worst case scenario is that i won't make enough sales and they'll eventually purge me from employment, then maybe i'll be willing to take the long ass six week

balance is a fleeting illusion. life's that crazy rollercoaster. but as long as you keep your head on straight, some cash in the ol' pocket and some good friends around, you'll be alright.

it's true, balance is not a fixed value. it's a thin line to walk, like a bad 'good cop, bad cop' routine. still, all animals seek balance biologically through homeostasis. and our own planet acting like a macro-organism has its own homeostatic mechanisms to help it find balance too. even as humans, i don't think we're immune to an almost biological need to find balance. even if that need is tremendously overwhelmed by our addictive personalities or our western materialism. so i guess i would agree, that at least in our stage of life, balance is pretty hard to attain. we're off playing so many roles and in turn are spread too thin to excel to be particularly stellar at any of them.

still, one day balance sounds grand
