The House Hunt Continues...
Michael came out with us to look at some new houses which was fun! It was nice to have Michael with us because we're starting to get serious and it's about time we really started looking in earnest!
~There were 2 houses we both liked, well, 3 actually... But we both agreed that the third house would be cool if we didn't intend on having children, but since we do... No go. It's very sad because it's such a nice house. But it doesn't fit too well into our plans. Ya know... It'd be cool for a bachelor couple or something. But not so much a family.
~As for the other 2, one of the houses SAYS it has 3 bedrooms, but it really only has 2. The third definitely does not work as a bedroom. LIARS! FAUGH! ~Not only does that "supposed bedroom" make for difficult access to the rest of the house if you close the doors, but it also has a sliding glass door out onto the deck... Which would make me MAJORLY UNCOMFORTABLE with children. Seriously... -But the other two bedrooms were really nice and the master bedroom was amazingly big for a ranch house. We're keeping it and it's neighborhood in mind!
~And the other house was WONDERFUL, expect the bedrooms are kinda small. Another issue was that they didn't provide have the entire disclosure, which is kinda fishy. It looked like the basement might have some flooding problems, and the lack of the disclosure points to that even more. Otherwise it's family friendly, has enough bedrooms, and 2 dens (*One With A Bar!*)! It would be fantastic for entertaining! Unfortunately the flooding might be an issue, and its REALLY close to Richardson park, which is a not-so-good neighborhood, exemplified in the uber high-tech alarm system in the bedroom. Hrrmmm... Odd. Also a bit out of our price range. Well, not really, but I'd be happier if it were less so we weren't sweating it every month! I want to make sure we can handle a mortgage and manage a little breathing room, if at all possible!
And in Sad News... The Glenoak house I was in love with (*Minus The Crappy ~And Expensive~ A/C Problem!*) is finally under contract. Boo. Ohh well, it wasn't meant to be. It's been on the market for about a year anyway... Poor house needed someone to want it. (*Someone Who Could Put Up With It's Issues!*) Anyways, someone who has a handicapped relative/child/parent might need it, which would be a really good thing because of the wheelchair access. So yeah... I don't feel too bad. Everything Happens For A Reason!
On the Bright Side... We have several more houses we want to see! I've got a list of at least 7 that I just sent to the real-estate agents about seeing this week or next.
~Also, I like the real estate agent we met tonight more than our usual one. But they are partners, so I'm trying to decide how to switch without it looking too bad! (*Laughs!*)
Anyways... Thems The News On The House Hunt! More To Come!
