I absolutely love the opening to this story. Brilliant! You captured me right from the start.

And then your AU! Wow! It actually took me some time to wrap my head around this new world, but once my imagination caught up with your writing... I'm enthralled, absolutely.

I will admit that I was giving your story some serious side-eye when Mark showed up. Not that it's blasphemous to hook either Sarah or Jareth with an OC, but it's dangerous. But, phew! I loved that Hancock new Mark was bad news before Sarah did. (Poor Sarah. :( )

And yes. Mark is a douche--he's not intentionally evil, he's just. Well, we've all met that guy, the one who makes us giddy and we go "He's TOTALLY INTO ME!!!!" and then he turns out to be into 785 other ladies exactly the same way.

Mark's that guy. Poor Sarah.
