I loved this. It's a refreshingly clever idea extrapolated from canon, and it's so very plausible.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hidden depths Sarah sees glimpses of in the King, and it's very nice to think that she and Toby will still be able to see one another. He is, after all, the one person she cares for most... except, possibly, Jareth in the future.

What a wonderful read.

... can this story please continue? Like the Never Ending Story, and how more pages keep getting added as the story continues? Please? No, really, I'm willing to grovel and beg.

Seriously, I have been on a Labyfic kick for a few weeks now, but haven't really found anything with the right tone and writing style to satiate my hunger and thirst for the ~right style~ of Labyfic. Until this story. It's the right blend of darkness and humor, kind of like a delicious milk chocolate truffle filled with dark chocolate syrup. It like... guh. I keep going into synethesia with this story because it was so delicious. It coats my tongue and tastes rich. That's the only way I can describe how much I enjoyed it.

Squeee! Oh, that's just MARVELLOUS. Such a rich story, all of those fantastic details - I can really see the shop in my head. And hints of sinister, bits of sadness, cool supporting character, Toby becoming a goblin, JS banter... it's PERFECT! This story has everything.

I enjoyed this! I used to be all about Jareth/Sarah stories, but I've grown to be quite fond of stories featuring Toby (with J/S, of course). It adds a whole new dynamic, and there are not nearly enough Toby-ish stories.

This reminds me of Santa Claus. :) But in a slightly twisted, slightly creepier way. Nice interpretation of the baby snatching. And I like that it's Toby's choice now. And really, also Sarah's choice. Not a challenge, but a choice. I suppose she's earned that. And it's nice that Jareth is willing to court her. :)

Gib was a great OC. I wonder how long it takes to make those toys. I imagine Toby has a lot of training to do, but also that it'd be quite some time before he was ready to retire.
