Oh, I just *adore* it. And indeed, don't want the subjects taking commemoration into their own hands. We've seen the results and they...have their deficiencies. ;)

Hahaha yes Jareth would be groomzilla, if only for costumes alone. He is far too gleeful about it, which is just entertaining to think about. Colors, foliage, fabrics.... all we need now are some enchanted cakes... preferably without the goblins jumping out of them.

Sarah with a broom, oh dear... and was the get up part of Jareth inspired by Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

But yeah they cut out that bit of the movie, where Sarah grabs a broom to defend herself. For the best. I don't understand your other comment though - "the get up part of Jareth"?

Oh! The "oh, get up" part that he says to the photographer after bowing. It made me think of Monty Python and the Holy Grail when God tells Arthur to get up and stop groveling.
