my break.
christmas break has been kind of boring so far, but i have a feeling it will get better.
mi familia is coming on friday...adam & kims thing is on friday too. tomorrow i'm rehearsing for the christmas eve service. i'm playing a few solos & the descant part on top of the brass group. it should be fun i guess.
today my family went out together...lol my brother and I didnt kill each other..we almost did but in the end it worked out ok. we even had breakfast at taco cabana. and we went to happy happy gifts lmao. i got some pretty spiffy stuff. i finally bought shea's birthday presents..i think she'll like them. & i found FULL HOUSE ON DVD! lol i was super excited. uncle jesse=mm mm good. + i got the la boehme cd..because i'm a yosa dork. & i got a bunch of cute clothes for cheap-(ish) at ae & a&f.
the only really bad thing that's happened so far is that my flute teacher lent me a gold flute for this area competition that's coming up in a couple weeks...well i happened to fall in love with it or whatever. i've been saving for a new flute for almost 2 years now but my parents refuse to pay for the rest of it because they want me to really earn it or whatever. well yesterday my dad wanted me to call my teacher and ask her how much it cost because he said he could hear the difference...well i called.
it's $7200.
that's not going to work out.
yeah but i guess there's no use in worrying about it. at least i'll have it for area. it really does sound amazing.
ohhh yeah 1 other piece of good news. my other teacher, the one i just started taking with, wants me to apply to interlochennnnn and i'm insanely excited. interlochen=dreammm. i always wanted to go there but i didnt think i could get accepted..well he works there every summer & he thinks i have a really good chance or something. i don't know.
so yeah i'm going to start working on the audition tape and everything.
if i get in i'll be gone for 6 weeks this summer...
omg it would be amazing.
