Home networks are cool. If only for the fact that you can send instant messages to people in the next/same room. Even better than that, is the fact that there's an almost unnoticeable delay between hitting "return" and hearing the message bombarding the other computer. It makes me wonder if the packets for that transmission are being routed halfway across the world, only to wind up one meter from it's originating location. The fact that the quality of network traffic is always seemingly good, and that there are almost no occurrences of packet loss is also really amazing. I wonder if sound ever gets jealous, since it can't travel half as fast, and without degradation. Maybe intangible notions like electric currents and microwaves actually have inherent characteristics built into themselves. Who knows, maybe a whole legion of personified 2.4 gHz radio waves exist, bumping into each other every ms and wonder why it's so crowded.

I like puppies because they are cute, warm, and cuddly. I wish I could be a puppy. Then I would be able to spend all my days lolling about in the garden.
