wierd e-mails
Around a year ago, I found myself on a mass mailing list for a family in Calgary that sends out family news to all of their friends and relatives. I've sent the family numerous e-mails letting them know that I have no idea who they are, and should not be recieving their e-mails of often personal nature. I've gotten over 9 in the past week, and have gotten annoyed with them to the point where I've decided to post a few in public view here.

Dear Family - Last night Dana was told she may have a PIC line ( Long term IV) put in because she would need antibiotics for 4 to 6 weeks. Yikes. The aspiration did not help the pain - and the Dr said there wasn’t any fluid in her joint. Today a new Dr (Hip infection guy) said he had seen one case like this and it may be an inflammation - so he wants her to have anti - inflammatories . Well the antibiotics haven’t changed much - so here’s hoping we soon have news of improvement. I’m off to bed. Love, M

Dear Family - Today was a better day - it started off by everyone having a better night! Dana only woke once for pain meds. Abby slept from her last feeding with Dana at 10:00pm until Bill woke her at 0400. So, I didn’t have to feed her at night - but I got up at 0645 to look after Jackson and let Bill sleep in. A great night! It looks like the anti inflammatories are working - yeah! Dana hasn’t needed morphine for 24 hours now, She was able to walk down to the end of the hall - with her walker. Plans for a draining and or a scoping of her hip have been cancelled. The surgeon told her - it doesn’t look like I’m going to get any work from you. Still no word on when she will come home - we are happy she is looking and feeling better. Bill has been working at home everyday and seems to be making progress with his project.

Dear Family - Another good day. Dana continues to improve. She has less pain and is walking more with walker. We think she will be out in the next day or so. Bob, Jackson, Abby and I visited Dana this morning. Bill is there now with Abby. Bob went back home tonight - garden and golf are calling. Bill spends most of his time working on his project - often works late and takes the first night feed, We are getting a routine worked out and it’s getting better. That’s all for now,. Love, M
