Tell me what you think. Should I turn this in for Mr. B or toss it and start from scratch?
On Tuesday, the 18th of October 2005, Brittani Marie Scarpulla, friend to none but known but all, died of a severe case of apathy.
A cynical girl of sixteen, Brittani had no patience for stupidity and, as a result, rarely spoke to her peers. She often looked on them with pure disgust and did not try to hide it. The last two years of her life were spent in a building she hated with people she despised.
As a child, Brittani loved to read and she carried this love with her until the day she stopped breathing. In junior high she realized she could learn more by reading than listening to teachers and was often reprimanded for reading during class. The unjust punishments she received for learning and other tiny events in life led to her loathing of authority.
Because of her lack of interest and trust in the kids at school, Brittani spent most of her spare time at a local park with her only friend, Amanda “Sally” Reddinger. Brittani liked the freedom the park provided and often went alone just to sit and think. The children that frequent the park loved her wild stories of Billy Bones, the homeless test-tube baby and Sally Hayes, the motherless mute. She once tried to teach the children to read by labeling all the parts of the park, but the authorities did not understand and washed away the permanent marker. She did not try to help again.
Brittani did not enjoy her life and many times complained, but she knew she had stumbled into a decent life.
Services will not be held on the account that Brittani was an atheist. Do not come to pay your respects. The family does not want them.
