Pondering leaving

I'm thinking of leaving livejournal -- not because anything bad has happened. I like livejournal, and it's been super getting to know the community, and I'll still be around reading and probably anonymous (signed) posting comments. I just feel a need to simplify and turn my attentions to more geographically local, offline pursuits. And I know I could just keep the journal and not update it much (as if I did now!) and not worry about it, but I don't like having loose ends hanging out like that online. I want to have slightly more control over where my words are floating around. Plus, I think there's a bit too much clutter now of old journals people don't use anymore. I don't want to be one of them.

Anyway, I don't think I'll close my account in the next few days (or weeks maybe), but that's probably the way it will go.
