Moving always sucks. I know this cuz I've done it a million times already. Like, I'm kinda a pro. But this time is infinitely worse.
I have amassed a great deal of "stuff", and I can't seem to get rid of it. I have done an OK job at throwing stuff out and putting things in the donation pile. But there is still an overwhelming mountian of junk that, for some unknown reason, I can't seem to part with. I stood in front of the growing heap in the garage yesterday and pantomimed dousing the pile in gasoline followed by tossing in a lit match. My dad laughed. I didn't. I'm seriously close to doing it. Just burn the whole mess. Start anew.
Why is this so difficult? I have the things I MUST keep. Like my art stuff. That'll go with me no matter where I go. But then there is the crap like MT 414 lecture notes... when the fuck will I ever need these? I never even took the class! My goal is to make all of my belonging fit in one half of the garage. I should not have things that exceed the size of a standard sedan.
Ugh. Must now return to packing hell.
