Happy New Year!
I'm still alive! Albeit quiet and tinkering in my own little corner.
Anyway, Happy New Year! It's the year 2020!
Le gasp! A new decade is upon us.
...and it suddenly strikes me that this is the year that I wrote about in my essay wayyy back. I dreamt that 2020 would see Singapore encapsuled in a giant air-con capsule, flying cars and and instant teleportation.
Such big dreams for a tiny youth + many many sci-fi movies
Here we are... it's 2020! No air-con bubble, but global warming is definetly happening. The coast of Australia is on fire right now. There are more ways to travel without exerting yourself (PMDs, electric cars are slowly happening), but instant teleportation still belongs to the realm of science fiction. Flying cars are.... coming I guess, but not for the masses, not yet.
And yet, there's something coming that the Jetsons never dreamt of in their wildest dreams.... self-driving vehicles and flying things! Even the Jetsons still thought that they would be piloting their flying cars...
Well, it's a new year! New year, new things, big dreams and wild adventures! Look alive, people! ;)
