- Untimely death from cancer of a family friend. My husband was a groomsman in his wedding. Rest in peace, Joe. You were a gentleman and a scholar
- Snowstorm paralyzes Seattle. Scary 4WD expedition to Autistic daughter's home to retrieve her since their power is out. For a week.
- Husband has tooth go bad during said snow storm requires root canal as soon as both he and the dentist can drive in.
- Daughter with Autism develops MRSA (!!) and is hospitalized.
