Okay, so I know what you all want to read desperately right now: me, struggling with my timetable for next year, and my plans for the year after that

Erm, 5 years for an undergraduate is totally reasonable in Canada xD because normally your undergrad would be done in 4 years anyway. But most concurrent degrees are 5 years or more. Note the "or more" because concurrent degrees that include law, medicine or business school degrees usually take six or seven years.
I NOW SHUDDER AT THE THOUGHT OF WRITING ESSAYS. I THINK THIS HAD TO DO WITH A VERY BAD TA THAT KEPT TELLING US WE WERE ALL GOING TO FAIL. AFTER THIS YEAR, I WILL NEVER EVER HAVE TO WRITE ANOTHER ESSAY AGAIN . . . until my senior thesis, that is. If I do write essays, they'll be arts essays, preferably in English because I can't stand social science essays.
Hehehee. I have anxiety attacks sometimes that make my heart palpitate and then I find it difficult to breathe. I don't know how to get rid of them either because they're a relatively recent event. I had a bad dream last night. It involved sex with my exboyfriend. o.O.
Yeah... In New Zealand it's generally 2 1/2 years for a basic Bachelor's, 3 if you're cautious with the number of classes you take. Then if you want it's an extra year after that for Honours.
Oh yeah. . . Well, I suppose I was talking about Honours undergrad degrees. . . ? There are 3 year degrees here too, but I've never actually met anyone doing one. o.O Which is kind of odd, now that I think about it.
The university has it set on my registration that I'm doing a 3 year degree (its the default, I think), but pretty much everyone does four years or more here. I still have to go in to tell them I'm not doing a three year degree xD. I don't think Honours and non-Honours here have much of a difference, other than Honours students get to write a thesis paper and non-Honours don't have to . . .
Honours is like halfway between bachelor and master... I'm pretty sure you do a thesis here too, but it's taught in classes rather than being self-directed.
Yeah, our concurrent degrees are supposed to take four or five years, plus one for the Honours year (which I don't even know where I'd want to do that, UC or Vic; but probably Vic) but I'm just not that keen on the Maths part of my degree and sticking around for another three to four years just doesn't thrill me that much. Sigh, I don't know.
I LOVE writing essays. they are so EASY. Especially take-home essays. Essay exams can be a little stressful if you don't know what you're getting into, but take-home/assignments? Yum.

Then specialist ones like Law or Engineering take 4 years.
