I'm taking an intensive course right now that's sucking up all my time, but I just had to post these interesting factoids that I learned just now in class. (I'm on break right now.)
-Barack Obama's name means blessed in Arabic. It's like the name Baruch in Hebrew.
-The core meaning of the word baruch means "abundant." So when you are blessing God, you are recognizing God as the source of abundance (as in food, money, offspring, etc.).
Cool, huh?
