I'm fourteen pages into a paper about Isaiah and only just now realizing that I am completely and utterly out of my depth. I thought I knew a lot about this, and I do, but it's really, really complicated. My thesis is completely different from when I started writing, so I had to rewrite huge chunks of it and redo the analysis of different passages.
