I'm not dead yet!  It's just a flesh wound and all that jazz...I've not defaulted on GeneCo. parts, but have met the Graverobber. <3

I use twitter a hell of a lot more than this thing...so if you ant to find out what I've been up to, check out my twitter at labrattish.

So what has happened....I'm not even sure when the last time it was I updated this...

Erm.  Won research awards in April on an awesome paper on Robert Graves and his ciphers of hidden messages in Celtic poetry...it is apparently the paper that will be the rest of my life/start of my master's thesis/doctoral dissertation/way into Grad school...

Wrote a (100 page) script for a graphic novel.  Need to start the drawings on it before I get too far into writing the second volume.

Won a few contests on Whirled...one dress contest, one building contest, and two official 24 hour contests (though I technically say it was only one): one being to make a functional toy, Squee and I made the crocodile dentist game thing for Whirled as well as a lego box (the lego box is listed as the winner, but Squee is the one that won since she coded three projects ^^); the other contest was a mock evony ad thing..so I drew a girl with Whirled Pasties that Squee coded a few different ways to make it an interactive working ad...which are awesome! (all my contesty things can be seen on my DA account...)

Am working on a few Whirled and nonWhirled gamish art projects...which are exciting.

Drew a pirate pinup, the pasties girl, and a stripper popping out of a cake...which proved to myself I can draw in that style as long as it's on the computer and I have a really good reference image.

Attended SanJapan as a volunteer, worked four awesome days for the info desk while sister worked as a volunteer in the artist alley...we are apparently looking at getting an artist table next summer to sell artsy things (which has prompted the need for anime characters in a pinupy style)

Start classes tomorrow...

Schedule isn't too bad, I don't think.

M, W 2-3.15 Painting I
T,TH 11.10-12.25 Contemporary Lit Crit; 12.35-1.50 Women Authors
W 5.30-8.45 Topic in International Lit: Ireland

Though a schedule like this, I wish I lived on campus...but it's much nicer being having what home has to offer.

Speaking of sister, though...she heads off to Collins College to start her degree in Game Design and Art in less than a month...vaguely exciting!
