So I knew that if I went to SF for Chinese New Year weekend, I'd end up spending money, which was something I was looking to avoid.
Oh well. I bought some awesomely cute boots on Haight Street today. They're these in black, but they don't have that buckle that's shown in the picture. Also got them scotch-guarded so I can hopefully survive a bit ( Read more... )

as far as waterproofing goes, i once waterproofed my shoes with one of those spray-on dealies you can get from sporting good shops. it didn't seem to do anything for me. i would check at various shoe stores to see what they offer.
