Yes! Superior rating at the Gold Cup Festival!!! The only better rating is Superior+, and they're stingy about giving them out. They only give out about four Superior+ where there are over 100 participants. I'm happy.
I managed to kill a line in the second verse of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend and didn't support my high notes as much as I should have in Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, but for my 1st competition and only a year under this teacher.... I'm happy...
I had to learn to be "sexy" and "alluring"... Slightly awkward for me as both my teacher and judge were female. ^_^ Not as bad as it would have been for Mark (he had to "wink sexily") if his judge had been male. Poor music wonder boy. So good, yet we all make fun of him. Really nice guy, but so innocent. It's sorta sad when a five year old (granted, he is the son of a dance teacher and drama teacher) knows more than Mark.
Well, that's my little Gold Cup spiel, I wanna be able to get a Superior+ before I leave for college... now to pick a song for a French music competition.... Au Bord du L'Eau or Je T'Aime?
