So, I love Mrs Pilling dearly, and she totally reminds me of my Oma (who died 6 years ago), but she is talentes at making the most awkward statements and questions. We were discussing the Lancaster family, and the fact he was decended from a princess and a farm boy.
The conversation then took a turn for the worst:

Mrs Pilling: So, she and this farm boy took a tumble in the hay. *raises eyebrows suggestivley* Kathryn, did your mother ever tell you not to tumble in the hay with farm boys?
me: Uh, sure.
Mrs Pilling: I'm glad. Now the rest of you girls should follow Kathryn's example!

And then she manages to continue the discussion, while I'm sitting there, bright red, and no one will even glance at me, they're so embarrased for me. O_o It was horrible. Then Farley had to regail the whole story in choir, effectively embarrasing me again.

And then there's wonderful Hurricane Ike, bearing onto the Houston area by tomorrow evening. So school is (fortunatly) cancelled for tomorrow, there is no gas to be had in a 10 mile radius, i don't have to take my history test tomorrow, and my aunt, uncle, and cousin are in our house, worring about the fact they may never see their house again, causing the rest of us to be stressed out. Wah... I'm sorta going to miss school, because tomorrow, I have to hurricane-proof my house. Wahoo...

Er, this was supposed to post last night, but didn't....

hurricane, can't get much better/worse, history
