I'm bored... talk to me.
And I have a funny (and sad) story.... The other day in math class, McAdory, Karim and Criaco were talking about what languages they wanted to learn the conversation went as follows:
K: I want to learn Chinese.
C: Me too. And Indian.
M: I want to learn Japanese.
C: Why?
M: 'Cause it'd be good for when I go to Japan, so they won't spit in my food.
K: But it sounds like (insert bad chinese imitation here).
C: No one speaks it either.
M: I still think it would be good, not because I like the culture, but because it'll be a remote language.
Me: *Laughing my head off, but trying not to show it*
I wanted to remind them that there is a country where Japanese is the national language.... JAPAN! And they won't spit in your food, because unlike most places in the world, they are welcoming to foreigners. They may not be the most outgoing (especially the older generation), but they're still kinder. Grr, ignoramuses. And Indian isn't even a language!!!
