OMG, worst season finale EVAR!!!  This is right in the ranks with the finale of Grey's Season 3!!  This episode should have been called, "How to Throw Away All of the Greatness, Cuteness, and Drama That We Have Spent the Past Year Making, In Only Forty Five Minutes!"

Worst offense of all, Blair and Chuck FINALLY realize the painfully obvious truth that they are meant to be, and they take it away from us in the SAME episode?!  Really now?!  Couldn't they at least make it to Europe and have some crazywildsex scenes before the drama hits?!

I kind of understand why they had to break Dan and Serena up, at least for awhile.  They've been together basically the whole series, so I can see that they need to stir up the pot there a bit, even though it makes me sad.  But they're both running into the arms of someone else already?!  I really thought Nate/Serena was over awhile ago, I can't believe they're trying to resurrect that shit.  And I guess Dan/Vanessa was bound to happen at some point, but I dunno, I liked her with Nate =(

And I can't believe Lily went through with the wedding, I was so convinced that she wouldn't!!  I mean, it's completely in character for her, but that just further proves that she is LAME!  Especially now that the kids are broken up, this seems to be prime opportunity for Rufus and Lily to be together at last, ARGH!!

Let's see do I have anything good to say?  Um, Blair taking down Georgina was pretty awesome =D  But I kind of hope she'll be back at some point; it seems as though the show is already spiraling downhill after her departure.  And I'm glad for Jenny, since I was kind of wondering what was next for her, but that was a pretty small plotline, it does not redeem all the egregious damage done!!  I have a hard time even feeling that happy for Rufus, because I wanted to see him and Lily finally be reunited, I don't really give a damn about his band!!

Well Gossip Girl, you've dug yourself a mighty fine hole, I do hope you can weasel your way out come next season.

rant, gossip girl
