I cannot say too much about my classes yet since I've only had one week, but I think it will all be manageable. I've already had a lot of homework, though. I am taking 19 credit hours this semester and I already feel more stressed than I did last semester, when I took 21 hours. I have the same two professors for my Humanities course, so I know that will be boring, but not too hard. Luckily, my CIS212 professor decided to split the class into smaller groups and work exclusively in the lab (aside from written exams), so the original 9:30-10:45am time every Tuesday and Thursday was cut down to one hour a week. Yay! And instead of going to class on Friday for EDF203 (which is what is scheduled), we only have to watch some videos and discuss them. Three hours of Nutrition every Monday in an extremely cold classroom is not something to which I look forward, but at least I get it out of the way. Monday itself is a CRAZY day! YUCK.
We've been having recruitment practice every night from 9-11pm and let's just say that I cannot wait until two weeks from now, when recruitment is all over. Next weekend (not this one, but the next) is going to be dreadful. We have to be ready by 7am on Saturday and we won't be done until later in the evening, I am sure. Sunday is equally as horrendous--if not worse. The following Monday will be Preference Night, which starts for the PNMs (Potential New Members) at 9pm, but we have to be there at 5pm to start setting up. Four hours to set up one room... seriously?!? Luckily, I have class until 8:45pm. I suppose I'll have to be in my black dress, complete with makeup and jewelry during class because I won't have time for that afterward.
At first, we were told that we could not go out until after recruitment was over, but Panhellenic told us that we were allowed to, just as long as we don't get so drunk that we tell a girl to rush our sorority (we can encourage girls to Go Greek, but we can't mention a specific sorority). This created a 'problem': fraternities just gave out bids today, so their recruitment is over. Meaning, therefore, that tonight is when they have all their Bid Day parties. The problem in this situation is that what use is a fraternity problem if you don't have any sorority girls with which to party?! So I'm ready for tonight!!! I've already been asked by different fraternity guys if we were going to their party, followed by the mentioning of having tons of hooch and jello shots.
Don't worry, though; I shall be a good girl. Freshman year (September through January) was my time of rebellion and doing things I shouldn't. Kristin shall now be VERY selective of her kissing partners... and things. =)
