Poll Hogwarts: The Next Generation I like to think of Albus Severus and Scorpius as JKR's wink to slashers. Just look at the name of that pairing: AS/S. Sure, by the end of the book everyone's sexuality is accounted for--though not always in a convincing manner (Snape/Lily, or Snily, surges to mind)--heterosexually and fecundly. But with Albus Severus and Scorpius it's like JKR is saying, here are two tabula rasae on which you can inscribe whatever characteristics and sexual proclivities you want, go crazy.
I already have two story ideas.
Story 1
Title: In the Name of the Fathers
Rating: PG (WIP. Angstfic. Please read and review.)
Summary: In typical fashion, Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius first hated each other until one day when they realized they shared the same therapist. The Gryffindor and the Slytherin bonded over the psychological trauma that stemmed from their fathers saddling them with names that were the Muggle equivalent of Herbert and Maddox.
Review from Assshipper23: This story is obviously a thinly-veiled exploration of the writer's own father issues. For example, I think it's OOC for Harry to always missed his son's quidditch matches because he spent most of his time down at The Three Broomsticks drinking mead and flirting with Madam Rosmerta. I also doubt that Draco never lets Scorpius buy any action figure because they "can't have nice things".
Story 2
Title: Slytherin Hair
Rating: NC-17 (hurt/comfort, hairplay, bondage, bangs, gratuitous crimping)
Summary: Scorpius Malfoy is afraid that his follicular destiny will follow his father's instead of his grandfather's. Albus Severus tries to convince Scorpius that his future is not written in the appointment book of a hair club, and that he has a choice. A choice to search for Salazar's Shampoo and the hairbrush of the wizard Hirsutus the Golden-Tressed.
This is one of the funniest review of Deathly Hallow I've read.
