it drives me FUCKING INSANE when y'all use the wrong "your". YOUR is not appropriate for every situation. there are two variations, they're separate words all to their own. allow me to demonstrate.
"You're a goddamn moron."
Does everyone see what i did there? it's called a contraction. When you're using the word in place of the two words "you" and "are" it becomes "you're" not "your".
"Your mom probably taught you to be a goddamn moron."
See the difference? There is no contraction because "your" is it's own word.
Let's move on to the three ways to say "there". I know you had to have learned this in the fourth grade, like i did. obviously i was on the one who was paying attention. learn to use the correct words, because you only make yourselves look like goddamn idiots when you cant properly use simple elementary school grammar.
"The school bus is picking us up over there."
In this situation, "there" is a place. It can also be a moment or idea.
"Their mother will be driving us to school today."
when you use the word "their" it shows possession. to quote my fourth grade teacher "their house, their lake, their bed".
"They're also going to pick us up after school."
the apostrophe tells you this is a contraction. it is used to combine two words, in this instance "they" and "are".
Quick Quiz.
I hope you take me _____ tonight. (there, their, they're)
I would like to meet _____ mother. (there, their, they're)
I heard _______ likely to sing tonight. (there, their, they're)
Tomorrow ______ driving us to school. (your, you're)
Maybe she will notice ____ new grammar skills. (your, you're)
Please remember this and use it as often as possible.
