A Clumsy Groundskeeper Am I

Jul 26, 2010 23:14

The last two rains made the plants leap up.  I had to clip the mulberry bush by the front corner so that the top branches wouldn't collide with the electrical wires by week's end.  I also had to chop the branch that fell into my back yard into small pieces with the dull hand axe that came with the house.  Four bags of branches and some weeds pulled up, along with the pieces of wood that were four inches or more in circumference, are now on the curb waiting for pickup tomorrow.  The bush looks very inexpertly done, but I couldn't really afford a pro, and the situation would have become dangerous otherwise.  The J.s will just have to deal.

I was too tired to see the Pelusos (the family that owns the broken tree) today.  I'll see them tomorrow after they come home from work.

I am sore all over, have a few mosquito bites, and anxiously await the soil tester tomorrow.  The result won't come any sooner than Thursday, darn it.  I am hoping that this will all be resolved soon, and that the buyers' bank will still want to give these folks their mortgage.

Will collapse after a quick shower.

Be good to each other, all, and wish me luck.
