The Bad News: Her ribs were cracked from her fall. They found her after she had already fallen, so they don't know how long she was down.
The Good News: She does not have pneumonia.
The Bad News: She has a strain of UTI that is resistant to regular antibiotics.
The Good News: She is being attended by specialists in that sort of thing and they are working out a treatment.
They want her out of the hospital and in a rehab facility by Monday. I'm on standby to help out with chauffeuring and lifting or carrying things. I'll need the distraction so as to not be alone on the one day he loved to spoil me rotten.
Her daughter is taking this in stride, but the last few days have been tough.
I know how she feels, at any rate.
I suddenly ache all over, as if the last year and a half just decided to hit me across the shoulders. I did get my GHI card, though. Will find out if there is a local doctor who accepts GHI and who can tell me whether I should start on the Paroxetine in earnest again. GHI does not cover mental health visits, or sick visits even, but it does cover regular exams, x-rays and labs with only a $20 co-pay, and has a decent prescription plan.
Take care, all.
