I know I said Draco would look adorable despite whatever costume he wore, but I was mistaken. After all, Draco can hardly look as adorable as himself when he is someone else! Far be it for me to question his judgement but honestly with the whole affair between Professor Vector's "stalking Potter" intervention, I really don't believe it was the wisest choice.
Besides, we all know he would have looked much better in the costume I had presented him... Speaking of which I don't see why he couldn't have worn my costume with his costume idea.
I don't understand, however, why Harry and his friends decided to make such a scene when they saw Draco. They are so excitable. We are wizards, after all, and it is to be expected that someone or another will show up to the ball as someone else. It was only a costume, and tricking people about who you are is half the fun. That is why so many people love Hallowe'en and masquerades, because you get to pretend to be something else.
However, I thought the whole fight, although terribly amusing, was rather silly, and I told Millicent so. We decided it was not worth the trouble to get involved and instead sampled some of the food at the table. The ball had the most delicious cream puffs... I admit I stashed some of them, custard muffins, and a few other treats in my Little Red Riding Hood basket so Millicent and I could snack on them later in the night.
Draco, of course, has gone to the manor for his parents' Hallowe'en party. I do hope he has a good time, although he did not seem very excited to go. Perhaps I ought to text him some time later.
