As it turns out, I have been accepted for an internship at the International Magical Office of Law with the possibility of a permanent position, depending on both my N.E.W.T.s and my performance there. I am very excited about this and the fact that Millicent and I have begun to look for a flat together. The two of us have decided that it would be ( Read more... )

Who gets engaged before leaving Hogwarts? Surely she realises there are other wizards in the world. I rather think that Tracey Davis and I agree about the surname 'Bletchley.' How dull.

I ought to point my mother straight to this comment right here as she seems to think Queenie is very clever for getting "almost engaged" to the first boy who asked her. Of course, her idea of clever does not take into account that Queenie will likely get a 1 on her N.E.W.T.s with the way she has been preparing for them.

More importantly, darling, how are you doing? Do you need a shoulder or neck massage?

Oh, do feel free. Unless, of course, your mother met your father at Hogwarts, in which case perhaps it would be inappropriate.

I'm quite all right, although my shoulders do ache from writing all day. Would you like to borrow the hand loosening lotion My Mother sent me?

Oh, darling, the lotion would be wonderful as while Madame Pomfrey's spell was effective, it was not long lasting. In any case, I am not surprised you are in need of a massage as the chairs we are forced to sit on are terribly hard and horrid.

As for my mother, she did indeed meet my father during Hogwarts, but he had enough sense not to ask her to marry him until two years later.

It's a shame it only works on hands, as it would be nice for our shoulders at irritating times like this. On the other hand, soon I shall develop a blister from holding my quill.

Your father's slightly less extreme than your mother, I suppose, though I still feel twenty's a bit young. I'd rather wait until I'm thirty, as what does one do if one meets someone better later?

Everyone is "very clever" to your mother.

Where are you?

Theodore just told a joke only you would appreciate.

My mother's idea of clever tends to be a bit broad, but they do say that one's judgement of things is often very relative.

I was hiding in the girl's dormitory. I saw Queenie sneaking about and I was sure she meant to corner me with talk of Miles. But she's finally gone away. Draco and I are going to dinner soon. Shall I see you there?

No, you shall not.

Perhaps later.

Be sure that I do. You know how much I do like my feet to be warm at nights.
