My day started off quite typically. I brought in warm muffins for my dear colleagues at work, though Mr. Weasley no longer takes his so there is always one left in the basket by itself. However, Ginny had come with him today as expected so I offered the muffin to her. She was kind enough to accept my offer, and was ever so gracious about it. That girl is simply the sweetest thing.
Ginny spent most of the morning with her father in his department, so I did not see much of her then unfortunately. However, lunch was splendid to say the least. Ginny is such a dear! She is very bright and has much of her father's good natured disposition and therefore, she is simply wonderful to talk with. Ginny was at first little concerned about her brother's behaviour the prior night and apologized several times for it, but I told her not to worry, that I was in fact quite sorry that I might have caused some trouble between her brother and herself. We then talked a bit about the ministry because Ginny was very much interested in finding a summer job for next year, so I told her as much as I could about what my responsibilities were at the front desk.
Of course, our conversation steered to far more girlish talk in the end, though admittedly that was likely my fault. However, I could not help but compliment her lovely complexion, and I am quite envious of how soft her skin is and how silken her hair! The lunch itself was also delicious, and for dessert I indulged myself a chocolate sundae with toasted coconut. I am quite fond of ice cream, but the dish was quite large, and so I persuaded Ginny to share it with me. After lunch, I showed Ginny around the front desk and before she left, I invited her to go shopping with me next week. Ginny did accept, although only after warning me that she did not intend to buy anything. But I merely told her that really the best part of shopping was trying things on anyway.
The rest of the afternoon went by rather slowly, but work over soon enough and I had the pleasure of seeing Millicent later that day. I was determined to help Millicent pass her Apparation examination. So we first stopped by my house so I could change out of my work clothes and into something more comfortable, and then I had to make a quick stop by Gringotts before Millicent went to get tested. I was quite excited for Millicent because she managed to pass both her practical and written tests in record time and the test administrator must have gotten very caught up in the moment as well because he asked me out on a date.
