Postcard stories

I've been looking at the Waterstone postcard stories this morning. JKR's is very cute - "Elvendork! It's unisex!" And I'd like to congratulate Neil Gaiman on his very neat printing. Some of the other authors should take a lesson.

I have a lot of experience trying to puzzle out different types of handwriting, but after long minutes, this is what I'm getting from Margaret Atwood:

I'm your wife, I said. I have needs too. Forget about the silly old sea! It is a global problem, he said. Too many waves. People are laughing at you, I said. They won't be laughing when they're vrahing shoud in their beds, he said. We could jess mvve orphile, I said. I'm no lily-livered appeaser, he said. You get so cold and wet, I said. Here, drink your wera. I've tried flattery, I've tried bribes, I've tried threats, he said. Nothing works! It's water, I said. Water doesn't vyahate negotiate. tomorrow were bombing the hell out of it, he said. Who needs a sea, anyway?

For the love of God, you're raising money for dyslexia, Margaret Atwood! It should not be that hard!
