nothing shows dedication like a black eye
One of my students taught me how to throw a football today. Also, he taught me how to catch.
Unfortunately, the learning process was not so graceful on my part. I went for a catch, missed with my hand, but managed to catch it with my left eye. My glasses jammed into my eye, flew off on to the sidewalk, and the football bounced off me to the ground.
Now fortunately, it was a NERF football, but good god. I'll take a photo later for posterity. I'm going to look gorgeous tomorrow, absolutely gorgeous.
Edited for the picture, happily doesn't seem to be swelling, just that mark. Man, I look in-freaking-sane!
