I'm back from NC and my conference. I learned so much and just am a flutter with enthusiasm and ideas about teaching! i want to change the world. I was a little bit skeptical about this program at first, sounded a bit fruity for my taste, but not anymore. Now i know it's fruity in a way i can get behind 100% whee ( Read more... )

1. Krispy Kreme. Donuts are for stupid people, anyway.

2. Bank of America, which means that Boston's rock of financial dominance in Fleet Bank, which had already bought out BankBoston, got absorbed by a bunch of yahoos from North Carolina.

3. The Hartford Whalers. I miss them. Screw the Hurricanes.

4. Linux, and all the other high tech that's being sapped down to the inflated suburban industrial parks that are the tobacco-ridden townships of Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Durham, and Winston-Salem.

5. Tobacco, in all its gross forms.

6. NASCAR.

7. Confederate flags.

8. Southern drawls and country music.

9. Duke basketball.

10. Jesus.
