Fanfic Weekly Rec
Spring is definitely here, the flowers are all out, the birds are back . So are the bugs... that's why I rec you a Christmas fic this week. Just to be contrary. Because I can. And also, because I love humorous H/D fics.
Well, Draco, Merrily On High by Blythely certainly is a Christmas fic, but it's so funny that I could not resist reccing it this week. Draco is a choir director (and he is SO funny in this role) and somehow, he and his choir stumble on Grimmauld Place while caroling. There, they meet an inebriated trio : Harry, Tonks and Lupin. Much laughter ensues.
Here is an excerpt, because it will convince you better than I can that you should follow the link and read the fic :
"Look!"
"That's him, innit?"
"Mr Malfoy," Alexandria Bold said breathlessly, "do you think we should ask Harry Potter what he would like?"
Oh, fuck.
Draco steeled himself and turned around.
"Christmas carols! Malfoy! Small children!" Potter, holding aloft a huge plate of mince pies, beamed drunkenly at the crowd on the lawn. "Bloody fantastic. Do you guys know We Three Kings?"
