So today was my first session w/ my new psychologist (not counting the "test" session).
Went as uneventful as expected for a first regular meeting. Only usual stuff like describing the general reason I'm there and filling some questionnaires. You know, these really subtle things with questions like "Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched?" that make you roll your eyes and think "Oh geez, if you wanna know if I'm paranoid just ask straight away."
Made me giggle a bit though, 'cause I had to think of my old psychologist. Quote from her: "In your case, it's so useless showing these to you. You see exactly what's behind the questions anyway. Let's just forget about 'em." XD Well, was just fine with me, I favor "straight to the point" anyway. After all it's not like I would lie about an answer. If I intended on doing so I wouldn't have to voluntarily see a psychologist in the first place, would I? Definitely something I have to set straight w/ this one as well some time soon.
However, away from this it went okay, too. Still scrupling a bit about seeing a male doc instead of a female for the first time, but so far he seems nice enough. Will just wait and see how it works for now. Still.. would be great if it went well with him, because there's not so many behavioral therapists around here.
Let's just keep our fingers crossed. :)
