No I think it went under the radar when it was released and then it just never made it into our household so no chance of watching with the siblings. I always wanted to watch it but never got around to it till last weekend. So good though!
Yes I picked up a copy at the movie quiz in December (yaye winning stuffxD). I'm in the early 300s. I like it a lot, though sometimes the text lacks a bit of...something. Might just be the translation, but sometimes it feels a bit hollow and too much focused on moving the story along. But I can't say if that is really the book or just me who has seen the movie already^^
I've read the book first, so I was just excited and everything to find out what's next, but yes, when you've seen the movie first it's probably not so overwhelming anymore. I definitely wanna read it again at some point. I just loved it so much.^^
(it was probably the same when I watched the movie. While I loved it as well, I was just like "Oh, please, tell me something new" when everyone around me just gasped and everything, for example when the tent, thingie - the thing where he was growing the potatoes in (Idk what it's called, the 'Wohkapsel') exploded. And I was just sitting there and was like... yup, I knew this was going to happen. xD
I'm mostly curious now about all the science the book throws at me. Not that I understand much of it but somehow I am still fascinated by it^^ And it's a bit more detailed than the movie so that's nice and doesn't make it boring.
Wohnkuppel...yeah I when I was reading I was waiting for that moment, cause I wanted the proper reason why that happened, I couldn't remember if it was talked about much in the movie (and I definitely gasped and mourned those space potatoesXD). It's a story where it doesn't take away the fun to know what will come so no matter what was first for you the other version is still entertaining.
Also, added your scrapbook to mine.^^
