Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yours" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
(Erin's note: I actually am not that observant of my own behavior, so Dan would actually be better at this than me, I think. Moreover, all the "quirky habits" I can think of are somewhat negative, so I need to go now and rethink myself.)
1. When I need one clothing item washed, I throw in everything I can that's dirty to save electricity. Then I dry them and remove just the one thing I needed/wanted. I let the rest of the clothes sit for awhile and then have to run the dryer again to get rid of the wrinkles. Roommates take them out and put them in a pile on the couch and even then I'll put them back in and run the dryer again. This continues until I'm sick of it, then I go get the laundry basket from upstairs (which has other clean clothes in it) and put them in there, where they'll sit until they're finally worn or I need to wash something else and I decide that they're dirty. In fact, I have clothes that have probably spent the last 2 years in this cycle, yet I don't get rid of them because I just might need them. Damn pack-rat-ism.
2. I like to cook really big meals (like christmas eve dinner) in a short black velvet dress and heels. I also like to bake a lot - at the same time. I'm not really capable of only doing one thing, so over the last few days, I made banana bread, jumbo raisen cookies, and cheesecake. Tomorrow is little gingerbread people. These may seem unrelated, but they're not - the "habit" is thinking that I can multi-task much better than I actually can. (or being obsessive.)
3. I eat when I'm stressed out because food actually makes me tired, thus calming me down. I'd gain much less weight when stressed out if I would just turn to alcohol - or a tranquilizer - for the same effect.
4. I never return movies on time.
5. I don't like talking to people on the phone most of the time, so I let them call and leave a message and then I return the call when they're likely to be unable to answer, or I text them.
Sorry if I double tag... der_vuhs, blackbrighid, chipmunksmut (hehe), lockescm, misoponia. Have at you!
