Ok, does anyone remember Marceau's drum group from the samapalooza? Well, they managed to get a gig from the fundraiser (someone's friend a bar manager was there - hazy on the details). Anyhow, since I think they're really excited (crossing over from the middle ages!) so I'm going over there to support them and have a drink. Anyone interested in going? Their gig is roughly 9pm-10:30 or 11 tomorrow night (Tuesday) at Champions, which I'll have to check on, but I believe it's Gilbert and Elliot. It'll be middle eastern drumming, potentially some belly dancers, possibly some fiddlers (not me, I had to bow out due to extreme school stress and some bad medical issues I was dealing with a few weeks back that I doubt anyone knows about). Anyhow, it should be good and I think they deserve some support - they put in a lot of work to get their set for the tynker fundraiser together and I think support for support is a great ethical system based on reciprocity that American's somehow know nothing about (even though they're democratic system is said to be based on the Native American religious principle of reciprocity and the longhouse - don't get me started.)
