Tryin to keep the repetition under control
Every thing I say I want to say it with the first letter stutter-y. G-g-g-go. Hey hey hey now. It's kind of charming but mostly it's getting in the way of my regular thoughts. No, again I tell a lie. My thoughts are in constant chant form, like a frakkin drum, I can't stop, c-c-c-can't stop. It's a bit distracting, especially while driving.
Heeeey. I got the best candy for Easter. Almost exclusively chocolate and chocolate creme, mah faaavvvorite. Don't dig the hard candy, caramel, dark chocolate, or malted selections so much. But I didn't get any of those, ha HA! I won the candy-getting contest.
For workin ALL day, I'm pretty content. Gettin' shit done, takin names, the usual. I got business.
Last night, went to the Effects record release party. divaspackle can tell you allll about it. I don't want to, take too long. All right, just a bit. The couches were vacant so we took advantage of that situation. There were a few openers that were okay, in my book. Kind of picky, I am. The band of such built-up excitement was pretty good. I feel a little off saying that my favorite songs were the covers: Hives, Strokes, and Weezer-ahhh "Say it Ain't So", like the best song of theirs. But Joel King, guitarist and singer, was very excitable, a tad Jagger-esque, nothin we ain't used to! I really like charismatic band members that can do little goofy tricks and still keep in time. Shows how much they love it. So I suckered myself into buying the cd and then playing head games when asked if I wanted it autographed.
"Yeah no, or no, I would? Ah ha, you don't know!" Feistiness resulting from sleepiness and lungs being filled with bad smoke. But before I exercised my trickster qualities, we just HAD to make jerkasses out of ourselves - Lorraine laughing during the slower, singular, emotional song. And Everyone knew it was us, goddamn. But the band is very little - literally and metaphorically. Yeah, so much for me not telling you about the evening. But I probably left out something important to someone else and am not going to worry about it. Check _guitar_star's lj, heeeey. Tori got it goin on.
