For you, your friends should be like your family, and your family should be like your friends. Which for the most part is true. I know you miss your family a lot when you're at school and that a lot of your friends don't always understand why you want to be at your house a lot. Sometimes you just need to get out, even if it is for little amounts at a time.

I have adapted into being a very mature person, sure I act like a child at times but I am very well aware of what is going on around me, if that makes sense. I have also been the mature child, but does that make me a less exciting person? Not necessarily.

So the Jane, make your decisions and make them worth your while. Don't worry about what others think, it's not being selfish, it's being you. And you are a very special, wonderful person who I love and admire.
