i read in a myspace group today about a girl posting about how she may be pregnant. she was afraid, because she didn't believe in contraceptives but didn't want a baby either.
idiot moment one: do not spread your legs, then.
fiance swears she cannot be pregnant because she was not at the peak of her ovulation.
idiot moment two: a woman can get pregnant at any time. don't listen to fiance.
THEN she goes on to say: if i can't get a miscarriage, my fiance is going to pay for an abortion.
WHAT.THE.FUCK.
how in the hell does one "get a miscarriage"? she talked about it like it was as simple as getting a cold. doesn't she realize that there are millions of women every day who miscarry and who are DEVASTATED by that? how can you speak so blithely about your own child's death?
Now I am all about a woman's choice. I do not believe in abortion, but i do believe in every woman's right to form her own belief system on the subject. i will not push my views on others. yet i have no tolerance for this kind of stupidity. "oh, fuck, i'm pregnant. i hope i can get a miscarriage." "i can't afford the baby." "i might not even be pregnant because i peed on the test wrong".
how do you pee on the test wrong?

i will refer back to my one known statement that i say quite often:
if you and your man do not want a child, then do not fuck. end of freaking story. it's simple intelligence.
