la_foule is for all extents and purposes not an AU, but this is debatable (even among the three writers). It was designed to happen right after the ending of the anime, so recent occurrences in the manga, though they can be mentally factored in (and sometimes are), are probably not going to be reflected in the actual story. The bulk of the canon, in fact, is anime canon. This is the summer after episodes 25/26, which, in Bisco Hatori's floating timeline, is probably still the summer of Kyouya and Tamaki's second year even though it should be the summer of their third year, since no one ever graduates. It also means it has been more than a year since episodes 25/26. Éclair's age is never verified in the anime; terrible liberties may be taken with it. The running consensus as of now (October 4) is that she is a year older than Tamaki and Kyouya and is currently in her first year of college.
