Well this weekend could have been more eventful than it was. I ended up getting a nasty cold friday morning, and even now im still stuffy. Why do I have such a weak immune system?!!
Friday morning I woke up early and got dressed up in my costume. I was looking forward to seeing everyone in their costumes and work the haunted house and carnival they were having at the school. I did one of the kids makeup when I got there which was fun. So from 7-4 we were on our feet working non stop, we were exhausted. Later that night, Joey and went to the Wreckers Ball which for the longest time I was looking forward to it, but I felt so shitty that I wasnt in the mood :( I rested for a bit and took some cold medicine and we were on our way. Once we were there, I got more into it and were having a great time. Then I had a drink which was a bad idea. I ended up feeling dizzy and yacked in the bathroom. Nice huh? It was around midnight and we went home. We didnt even get to see The Quakes. Bitter night.
Saturday didnt do much of anything. Slept in, went to look for blinds for our living room with my mom, then came home and slept for a bit. John, I wish I had gotten your message sooner! Im happy for you guys and cant wait till you move out here, I hope you like it. Later that night had a family gathering type deal, then went to my friend Jeffs and we watched Memento and had yummy Thai food.
Sunday Went up to see Joey for a bit. We had lunch and ran some errands. It was so crazy how dark it got so early in the day. It was only like 6 when trick-or-treaters came around. It was so cute seeing kids dressed up yelling Trick or treat! and seeing their parents waiting at the curb. It brought back so many memories of when my parents would take my brothers and I. We watched Helter Skelter, the story of Charles Manson. It was crazy that all happened like 2 miles near my house in the hills behind us. Then we started watching Friday the 13th but I had to come home halfwya through the movie. I was a chicken driving home late in the dark!
This week Im doing a lesson on Dia De Los Muertos with my students, so far its been a lot of fun.
